Earlier this week I updated my Links & Resources page with a new PDF on How to Pastel Model Horses (courtesy of Jeanne Grunert), and a link to the same tutorial posted on Fallen Leaves. This excellent tutorial is by hobbyisy Katrina Michaels, and is a lovely guide for pastelling a horse from start to finish. In 2009 when I was interested in re-discovering the hobby, this was the tutorial that got me on started. There are a lot of tips on pastelling out there, but this guide really brings it all together. Check it out!
- I’m enjoying the model horse hobby as a Do-It-Youself-er, making my own horses, props, and tack. I have a small collection of minis and love to show performance. This blog is to share tips, strategies and musings on our hobby in general and the DIY aspect in particular.
